Hi Everyone!
New to forum. Need help. I just bought the 1 1/4" Ripsaw and 144 Woody's studs at Novi and then have heard that I can't run this on my sled. I have a 2000 SX600R. I find this hard to believe. Can anyone help?

Clearance issues with the front heat exchanger, if I remember right. Need smaller drivers. They'll clear, but the track needs to be run tight. All my buddies ran into that problem with there Sx's.

Yeah I spoke to the guys at Bender at there booth in Novi and they said somthing about going from my stock 9 tooth down to 8 but he said I only need 2 drivers. Does that sound right?
Well If I remember right the srx has 4 drivers. Some other sleds have 2. So I think ya could get away with it maybe? But your track might slip.

You use 2 drivers when you switch to anti-rachet drivers and you gotta have a fully clipped track for this. 8 tooth drivers is the correct way of doing this and some will regear too because the smaller drivers change your final gear ratio.

you need 8 tooth drivers if you want to run that track and studs.$80 for 4 drivers.

I've been told that if you run extroverts and the track is fully clipped you only need the two center drivers.

Hey Guys, I just ordered the same track for my 97 Vmax 600 XT, will I run into the same clearance issues?

I run 1 1/4 ripsaws on my 98 VMAX600 XT as well as my 2001 SXr 700, stock drivers and no clearance problems.

blkmax600...you haven't ridden that 700 yet have you..you may have a spot of snow.Yes it will be ok unless you stud the track. The 11/4 on my SXR is not studded either, and is good.Hey they have 10 cm of snow in Pinawa, lets go there this weekend. That 's an 11/2 hour drive isn't it.One day I'll have to come up to your cottage and go riding with you.I haven't ridden in the Whiteshell area............................................................Doug

that track is pretty aggressive and you should have little traction problems without studs unless your on shear ice. Great choice on the track. you wont be disapionted

Hey Bluemonster, you are right I haven't ridden the sxr yet but I have ran it on several occasions on the track stand, love that two stroke smell. We should try and get a couple of TY guys out for a ride this year.
