GOT TO RACE AGAINST A 2000 MACH Z YESTURDAY ON THE GRASS WITH BOTH MY SLEDS. MY 2000 SRX AND MY 1995 VMAX 800. VMAX 800 COVERED HIM EASY EVERYTIME WE RACED BUT WAS TUFF NUT WITH MY SRX. I THINK WE TRADED OFF WINS, BUT ALL RACES VERY CLOSE. I DON,T KNOW WHAT WAS DONE TOO MACH, I BELIEVE HE DID HAVE CRANK SHOP PIPES. MY 2000 SRX IS STOCK EXCEPT HC SET-UP. ALSO I ADDED CHISELS FOR THIS EVENT. MACH Z TUFF SLED TO BEAT. 3:16 (yammie tony)

I have 4 buds with 6 94-99 Mach Z,s. These guys can tune & in the right hands those things can move.We race every weekend & on a long pull will slowly drive away from a SRX on top.

Yea but come on were talking 100+cc's smaller, thats damn impresive IMO..

Tony,

If you were to own a doo, You would have an early model 800 Mach-Z?

I also heard they run extremely well

The triple 809 engines can really run, all they have to do is add a thicker base gasket and redo the heads and they make stupid big power, the doo's have alot more port area then a yamaha does. With pipes 200+hp is not real hard to do from only 800cc's on a doo, thats impressive! :2strokes:

What year Z's came with the 809 engine????? 94-99.......Also is that 200 HP claim(b-gasket, cut heads, pipes) running on PUMP fuel?????

I BEEN TOLD BEST MACH Z WAS THE 1997. THESE I THINK WERE TRUE 800 cc. YOU GUYS REMEMBER EARLY ONES WERE 780. I BELIEVE CK CHASSIS WAS 98 WITH FIRST 809 ENGINE LIKE DON MENTION. ALL IN ALL VERY FAST SNOWMOBILES. NO DOUBT SKIDOO ENGINES ALWAYS MADE BIG POWER. ONLY SLED THAT EVER RIVALED THE 77 SRX WAS THE 77 BLIZZARD. MANY SAY BLIZZARD MADE MORE HP. !! 3:16 (yammie tony)

What year Mach Z to get??

Don would you know how to do the thicker base gasket and get over 200 on a doo??

There is a mint one on ebay.. but he is in Manitoba..

That is a killer deal on craigs list, heck the motor is worth $1,000 alone

Tony, The blizzard would always be on top of the 440 SRX.

Isnt that the same motor they came out with later and put in their 440 MXZ chassis race sleds? Friend of mine had a 94 440 MXZ that would wax formula III 600 tripples in 500 feet on the ice. Their 440 is a strong running motor..

They're actally 779cc's. They don't have any limiters in the cdi box and they have a higher timing curve .

97 was the first year 809. I just talked with the boys at doo talk and looks like 97 is the best year to buy.

SWEET SLED !!!!!!!!!

96 and older was the 779

TOM I DISAGREE. '' THE BLIZZARD WILL ALWAYS BE ON TOP OF THE 440 SRX. '' ACTUALLY IN 1977, A BLIZZARD NEVER ONCE BEAT A 77 SRX. THE 77 SRX WON AT EVERY EVENT IT RACED AT AGINST THE SUPER STOCK SLEDS. THE BLIZZARD HAD MORE HP, BUT THE SRX JUST DUSTED IT IN THE CORNERS. 3:16 (yammie tony)

my bud keeps trying to get me to buy his 97 tells me I need a more reliable sled I tell him no I just need mine to be reliable , even blown up it looks cooler !
