Does anyone for sure if most of these tachs are accurate to lets say
+ or - 25RPM or maybe 50, 100,200, 0r maybe dead nuts on. We all strive for a certain RPM and yes testing is really the most important part but I would just like to have an idea of if these things are that accurate. My sled is a 03 Viper.

I did a search. found some info. I would like to know if most are off a little or alot. Would the power valve (low 900rpm) open point give any Idea or is it just an approximate number. I don't have any equipment to check it.

not sure if they are different between different tachs but mine was dead on compared to a snapon digital timing light/tach. srxrules tested one to a ocilascope when they were new and his was 50 off, cant remember what way. I dont know how you can even see 50 rpm distinction on the tach, but that is what he said for what its worth.
valves open at different times, depending on what you have done with the throttle to get there. idling it up slowly will give a different result than jambing the trottle open. remember you are working with a 3d timing map as well as the pv tied into that all effected by the tps.
