Hi there. I have done a thorough search of this forum, but I have been unable to come up with a definitive answer to my question. I'll start by telling you that I have a 2001 SRX 700, purchased originally in the U.S.A. It does NOT have the Ohlins shocks. Rather, it has KYB.

My understanding is that you could originally get Ohlins shocks from the factory in one of two ways: (1) Buy a Canadian-destined SRX or (2) Snow check an SRX in the United States. Please correct me if I am wrong so far.

OK. Here comes the question, sort of. For those of you that have either a Canadian SRX or snow-checked U.S. SRX, does your sled have Ohlins in the rear skid as well as up front on the skis? My buddy just bought a 1999 SRX 600 and it has Ohlins on the skis and KYB in the skid. I thought if you got Ohlins from the factory, you got all four.

I am looking to determine, then, if an SRX would have had four Ohlins shocks from the factory had it been snow-checked in 2001. Or, if it had of been snow-checked would it have only come with Ohlins up front and KYB in the rear.

I hope this isn't too confusing. Just looking for an "SRX history lesson" here.

Thanks!
