I just put a riser on my 99 sx, I had to put on longer cables and am now trying to get them adjusted, First I adjusted the trottle and now the oil cable, If I bring the oil cable free play to 20mm as the manual states, I run out of pump cable movment before I am at the trottle stop?
Help! what am I doing wrong?
Thanks Bob

Are you sure the oil cable is seated down tightly in the socket at the adjustment point? This would definately tighten it up quite a bit...

Here is what I think the problem is, the cables (long to fit new riser) don't have the adjustment socket, so I think I need to figure out the total movement (free play) of the cable and then adjust it. On the stock cable the socket has a depth of 13mm so I think I need to add that to the total movment.
The cables were after market and labled for my machine, but no socket for adjustment? They are braided steel, very nice!
Any thought?
