i put new rings last year and i still can see some blow buy under rings is it normal ....???? :bash:

how many miles you put on the new rings?

How many miles was on the sled at the time of rebuild? Did you check to see if the pistons were out of specifications? Measure the pistons 10MM from the bottom of the skirt?

well i didnt check the piston clearance but its the rings that seal not the piston .....

Was there a lot of crosshatching left on the cylinders? If not did u hone the cylinders?

seriously i forgot to hone the cylinder and haft of the crosshatching is gone ...its a thing i never forget in a 4 stroke but it never come in my mind in a 2 stroke...i guess i will need new ring and a some hone in my cylinder

Are you running Yamalube 2S oil? I find the same thing you are talking about with 2S even will a good tight engine. I think the synthetic oil in it is glazing the cylinders and causing the blow by. I switched oil and the black piston/blow by is gone. I know this oil subject has a lot of different opinions and not trying to start a pissing match, just posting what worked for me.
