I have an 03 viper with a 1.5" track. I might be asking a stupid question here :dunno: but I want to take pressure off the skis, the way it is right now I can't even get them off the ground. I also had some trouble with the skis sinking last year. What's the best way to change this? I've never messed with the rear suspension before and I don't know too much about it. I know the limiter straps can be adjusted for this, but what else? Don't the transfer rods affect it too? I would like to be able to pull the front end up if I want to. So if someone wouldn't mind explaining how it works...I would appreciate it.

If you tighten up your straps...you'll get more pressure on the ski's,so loosen them.Go to factory spec for now and see what happens. Also if you have adjustable transfer rods, you can open them up (more space on top spacers) and the suspension will couple a bit more thus taking pressure on the ski's off when you pin it.Lifting ski's off the snow to much will seem like fun,but you are loosing overall on acceleration and steering. When I bought my SRX last Feb from this guy,I was raising my ski's up 3 feet in the air,it was insane.I put on adj. transfer rods and adjusted them so the ski's will only lift 6 inches the most on a hard launch.I sort of like it to when you can raise the front end a bit,but am defeating the purpose. With the SRX there is a lot of pull when I pin it,and I think basically it would lift some anyways. If I get good traction with my SXR600 with the 1 1/4 Ripsaw track, limiters loose and transfer at 50/50 setting..I still can raise the front end at a hard launch. If you have all your weight to the front(ski's),you will be ploughing snow pretty good I imagine.
