97 vmax 700

was wondering on a 97 vmax 700sx does the oil pump feed the crankshaft on this model ,seriously considering of omitting the pump to run premix but im not dure what all the pump does ,.or if it only mixdes the fuel

I don't think so not on that model, there may be a feed to the water pump
shaft i see on the fich but thats it,the only sled that does is the SRX's...
why would you want to remove the pump, pre mixing is a pain in the a$$????
yamaha pumps are very reliable

reliable if you dont have a 96-97 model twin
Chadg's oil pump failed on the TY ride. It went into a default mode and starting dumping rediculous large amounts of oil in his crank case

Yea when they do fail it's in a good way, twin pumps are fine ours works
every year, you may get one or two here and there that fail and go WO
but it's rare.
