I looked at these helmets with a buddy at the Novi Snow Show and I personally do not think they are worth money. The Ski Doo rep told us that the breath box on the new modular is the same as the old one for what it's worth. The new Scorpion helmets are just as nice for less money. Even if the Ski Doo helmet does not fog in most conditions, you could still could have an icing problems under the right weather conditions that it cannot take care of. I would think you would be better off buying a HJC or Gmax modular with a heated shield and save yourself $150. My $0.02. G.B.

I like my modular (original) added a communicator and the heated shield. Figure there is $600 on my head alone. I'm looking forward to using it with contacts for the first time this season. Maybe I'll actually be able to use the breath deflector.
I still think the holes for air are too small. I have given thought to drilling them a size or 2 bigger. I always feel like I am almost pulling a vacuum when breathing heavily.
Oddly I got a complete new (used twice) Yamaha outfit (head to toe) including a new sno-force helmet that I might wear to see how it measures up to what I wear now.
I have a HJC that is 8 years old that I gave to my Dad. I also have a 3 year old HJC standard full face that I thought I would like but it turned out to be hard to wear glasses with it. I even have a heated shield for the newer one.
Tell you what though I did not mind spending the cash for the Ski-doo Modular (Actually made by Lazer). The clear and tinted visors are great.

I purchased a BV2S Helemet and the airbox is not like the old modular. I did a lot of research and this helmet has received rave reviews, including Mr. Sled. I was lucky as I only payed $295.00 at the Green Bay Snowshow. If you price a MX Helemet you will pay a fair amount let alone two pairs of goggles one for day/night. I was going to go that way but after pricing it out; for me it would have been more than BV2S to go with the MX.

The air box is the same between the Modular and Modular 2. The BV2S is a different helmet. G.B.
