I have a 2001 SRX; Proaction skid. I pulled it out today found it a rusty. I would like to fix this as permanently as possible. Would you suggest ceramic coating, sending the steel parts to a automotive paint shop, powder coating or simply spraying the steel parts myself with Tremclad? Also, would you suggest I have the OEM shocks rebuilt or purchase aftermarket; if aftermarket which ones are better then the stock?
Thanks

I would just clean it up and paint it.
Pioneer out of New York rebuilds shocks. They can get a nice valving done for you.
Probably cheaper than getting a new set and if you go used, your in the same boat you started in.

I would recommend Powder Coating to be the best course for the best long term results and durability.
