I live in the Chicago area and was wondering where the best place to have my Ohlins rebuilt at.
I have 7k and it has never been done.
Thanks for any assistance

Hey B-rad, other than inside Silver Spring State Park, are there any trails left in Yorkville? My buddy lives off of Fox Road, and there are some old trail signs around there, but we can't tell if the trail still exists or not.

It is a small shop in East Moline. It is owned by Jerry Jackson. He has been doing snowmbiles quads, and Moto x bike, and watercraft engines and suspension work since the 60's. He has built me a bunch of engines for both my sleds and watercraft. Right now he is rebuilding my Ohiins and doing the same thing Pioneer does to your SRX shocks by putting in the longer shafts. I am also running a SRX with a Jackson ported 700 in it. He is a engine genius.

Pioneer Performance rebuilds Ohlins for $59.95 plus parts. I recently shipped them all four of my Viper KYB's to have them re-valved. Bruce and his crew turned them around in two days! That is their normal turn around time. You cannot beat that for service! G.B.

Bruce at Pioneer performance has been excellent. Quick turn around also.
Blkhwkbob, they put up so many houses around here that it's hard to ride. The ditches arent even safe anymore. Sliver Springs still has like a 3 or 5 mile trail, but thats it for actual trails around here. You have to wait for good snow or take a drive out of the area.

i'll second that about Jackson performance. Jerry could build the space shuttle in his garage if he wanted to. He actually built his son a water cooled Yamaha 60 to race in the mid 1980's before yamaha even had water cooled 80s! have had friends take their shocks there with good results and reasonably priced. even better is able to drive there! not sure about speed of turnaround.
