I am looking for some reliable mods for power on my 04 viper er. I have geared it up a little, and then went with 8 tooth drivers. Can't remember what the gearing was, but I lost about 5-10 mph on the top end total with drivers. Which is perfect. I am happy around 100mph. Went to 1.25 ripsaw track with 96 studs up the middle. adjustable transfer rods.
As I sit, I stay ski to ski with my brothers rx-1.
I have not wanted to play with the motor to keep it reliable. So the motor is stock. Is there way to gain a few hp without braking the bank or having to worry about too much.
I would like the clutching to be a little more aggresive, But I don't know where to start. Everything I read is more about getting the rpms right. It seems I need it to engage higher, maybe 5,000rpms for it to launch better and be a little more responsive on the trail. Where should I start for that? I engage at 4,000 and runs about 8,600 at full throttle.
Just looking for a few more things to do before I bring it up to VT for the winter.

I believe the head gasket mod works on the vipers too. That would be pulling out the middle layer (there's 3) to increase the compression. Need to run premium fuel then to be safe that you don't deto. You could also get a set of hauck triple pipes and clutch kit. Believe me the reliability is still there. A friend of mine put on around 1400-1500 miles without problems. Their jetting was spot on as well. If you just want to mess around with clutching, you can look into heel clickers, or easier yet....just talk to either turk or mrviper700. Both are very knowledgable with clutching and could probably tell you a setup for your application for maybe not a whole lot of money. I'm not saying that no one else could tell you a great setup....please no body take offense to this I just happen to have gotten some great info from both the fellas in the past so that's why I am suggesting them. Please
