Anyone know what you need to do to eliminate the oil injection system on a 99 srx 700?

Why would you want too? one line feeds the crank, yamaha's pumps are very reliable..

i did it on my viper and just blocked off the oil line in the base. made a seal for where the pump went and siliconed it off so it would be air tight.

IMO i would leave it on it's rare that they go bad and when they do alot of
times they go to full stroke(pump)and dump oil in the motor, worse case
you foul plugs out.

I'm asking because I am removing anything I don't need to run the sled.I don't trail ride only run on ice in the winter and asphalt in the summer. I would like to get it as light as I can.

same reason i did it, just for racing. as daman said yamaha pumps are pretty reliable, i havent had on fail on me yet with about 30k kms on 2 sleds.
