i have a 99 venture 700 136 inch track stock. I have a real problem with over reving. antime i hit the gas it hits 9200 rpm and screams. it will drop to 8500 eventually, but top end is poor at only 85mph on the dream meter.
i have cleaned clutches, new springs, new belts, checked for broken motor mounts, im stumped! the only thing i can think of is that the owner i bought it from 4 years ago was a very heavey old man who trail rode. (he was over 300 lbs could he have had the dealer put in lighter weights to offset his weight?
ive also tried every secondary spring setting as well. no luck.
any sugggestions would be great. :o|

also, this suspension has major problems. I have had to brace and weld the sliders. they keep breaking. whats with that? my wife drive it like an old lady, and it as never been abused.
does anyone have a 136 yami suspension for sale? (Current) 2003 and up?
let me know :o|
thanks
Rob
