I have a 98 SRX with the Oil Light coming on. The oil tank is full, & it still seems to using oil. Is there a sensor that causes the light to go on?

Yes the sensor is a long probe that goes into the top of the oil tank, it
will pull out with some effort, for testing or replacing..

THAT SENSOR WAS REPLACED ON THE 00-01-02 SRX. ITS DEALER ITEM TO GET THIS. 3:16 (yammie tony)

is it not giving a code. this is the light that flashes upon startup right?

i think they all come on for a second on startup but the only flashing one is the dcs light but thats only on the 02 srx's... lol but its been since last year since i fired it up so i could be wrong on the flashes

I have a complete oil tank and sensor from a 2002 SRX. I am checking right now to see if the part numbers are the same for the sensors between the 98 and 02
If you need a sensor I will sell it to you for $10 shipped. Some sleds had a problem with the oil level sensor.

Part numbers are differnt but I am thinking maybe thats because of the update.
