So, I am used to studding polaris 121" sleds.
Am I correct in thinking that 2 studs per every space between lugs is 108 studs on a 136" track?
the track is the stock low lug 97 track that every stud company recommends .875" studs for.
that height stud is not easily found anymore, I think only woody's and stud boy make them in that length, in push through at least.
also, I know the sled needs the heat exchanger guards, and Hauck has those on sale. Does the sled need tunnel protectors as well? Were those stock? I don't even know if it has any on it, and the sled is not at my house to easily check.
anyone with any .875 carbide studs for sale? If I can get either used good .875s or a few bags that someone has laying around I would rather go that direction to save a few $$.
thanks,
tom

so, I see with the stock .510 lug height track, that I have a couple issues that are palying against me.
1. i should really only run .750 studs, and those are not easy to find in push through types.
2. even with 108 studs, if I can find them, it won't hook up like I want it to.
so, I read that someone here has installed a 1.25 ripsaw on their venture. I would want studs on this as well, but at least i can find studs that are designed for 1.25" tracks.
I was pretty impressed with the ripsaw on the 05 rs warrior, and the 07 attak i have test ridden at minocqua.
I am assuming that its a simple drop in install and beside the normal heat exchanger guards with a studded track, and tunnel guards, that the cahin case is hopefully easy to take the driveshaft out, and put back in.
plus, it will allow me to pull the pro action skid, and reinforce the w arm, and add zerks as outined here on TY.
any thoughts guys?
I really want to pull the trigger and get the venture set for riding.
I will be off all of christmas week so i can do the install then.

well, I did find out through PM's that a 1.25 ripsaw with studs will not fit with the 9t drivers.
I could go to 8t drivers, but I kinda do not want to deal with that, then possible regearing that I would need.
anyway, I was not able to buy the pre studded ripsaw, so I will look for a .75- 1.0" lugged 136" track and then stud that.

I have the same 1997 Venture 600 that I want to stud. I have tunnel protectors that look easy too install. I have put a few on before.
Did you put in the front heat exchanger protectors? What is involved with that? I have some used ones off EBAY with no instructions.
Thanks in advance for any info.
