My vmax had some slop in the steering so i tried this. Im made some shimes out of a old 1L oil container. I cut out circles the same size a the orignal shims and then drilled a hole in the center the same size of the bushing that the bolt gose threw on the scissor arms and put it on back of the orignal shims. Put it back together and elimating all slop in the steering. I dont know how long it will last but i figured id try it and see i iwll let you know if it last any amount of time.

i have heard of people doing that. also people drill the holes out bigger and running a huge size bolt.

Yes thats one way to do it but not the right way,doing that will overtime
wear out the arm piece it's self, you need to replace the bushings(two in each arm piece)and collars(one each), a little more $ but it's the right fix for that.
just redid my whole steering arms last year on my '95, it's tighter then a virgin on prom night now.

I bought the shims you can buy and those worked well, I have an extra set if you are interested...

no thank you i was just bord one day, wating for snow and i just figured id try this and if i need to get some i can easly order a set from royal distrubting for a preety good prise
