After removing skid and looking at track my stocker is on its last leg... I ride mostly trails, but love speed and race 660.

Im stuck between the following:

1. Camoplast Cobra 1.25" track with cones up to 1.352" ( apparently awesome loose snow track)

2. Camoplast 1" 6-pitch predator

3. Camoplast 1" Hacksaw

Final question will i lose speed going to a 8 tooth driver? or will i simply need to regear

Did search on all and still cant find any answers, thanks

You are going to probably want to decide between the hacksaw and sixpitch from your description. They are both incredibly designed tracks and you will have a higher topspeed with those two tracks over the cone design one. The sixpitch track is going to be a track that will perform well on mostly everything. It does well on the hardpack along with great performance in the loose snow too. The hacksaw is more orientated for hardpack and performs very well in that area. You cant really go wrong with either track and if you are interested in some great pricing for either, please send me a PM and I can get you a great price on either. As for switching to 8 tooth drivers, it will not be necessary for the 1" track but if you decide you still want to switch over, the answer is you are able to obtain stock gearing within the chaincase gears by making lowering your gearing ratio in the chaincase ~13% but you will ultimately result in a lower speed in general because the track needs to make a sharper bend at the drive axel. We also sell the 8 tooth drive cogs and can install them for you aswell if you are interested in that too. If you do end up swaping your drive cogs out, you may also want to consider going to extrovert drives for better performance. Let me know if you have any other questions and I will be happy to help you out. Thanks

I failed to mention to ya 2000srx that im gonna be studding the track 100% probably 192 again like i had on the stock, does this have any bearing on the drivers? id probably run a 1.175" Stud, or something along those lines with a tall nut type so im not sure if ill have enough clearance between the front exchanger and the studs....thanks for all your advice never though track selection would have so many variables

You will still be able to run the 9 tooth drivers on the sled when running a 1" lug track or less. As for the stud length, that will not matter and those are a good stud length to run on that track but I would NOT go any longer than that. 192 might be over kill and you may want to consider 144 as you will get a better bite out of them because there is more pressure per stud. It will obviously cost you less aswell. If you are going to stud it you just need to make sure you are running your heat exchange protectors. Your ideal setup is going to be to stick with the stock 9 tooth drivers, decide between either of the two tracks (Can't make a wrong decision), and run 144 1.175" studs. If you are interested we are also capable of studding the track and sending it to you studded. Let me know if you have any other questions and I will be happy to help you. Thanks

Perfect thanks a ton for your help, right now i am just comparing prices between 3 different carriers.... wanna shoot me a PM for a 121x15x1" hacksaw but the predrilled one with 144 predrilled holes... also would i be able to run double backers where the studs are beside each other? looks real close in the pick.... if you could send me a price for 144 1.175" studs also thatd be great... thanks again for all your help
