At the end of last season my VMAX 600 SX wouldn't downshift until I came to a complete stop. It's got about 4000 miles on it so I would like to inspect and rebuild both clutches. Can you folks give me some tips on the disassembly/reassembly process and what to look for as far as wear and breakage? Thanks in advance. By the way, the sled is stock.

Here is a good article that explains how to take the clutches out.

You will want to inspect the primary rollers and arms for wear, on the secondary check the helix and slides, you may need to replace both springs if you are rebuilding anyways and have alot of miles
