I squish them in the vise.

I used a really small anvil that I found in my garage and a ball peen hammer. You could also get away with using the top of a vise and a ball peen.

Yup,the anvil thing or the top of the vise works, but trying to squash then in the vise, especially the heavier ones is difficult. That is why I went to HC's...no more rivets.

Just peen 'em over with a small hammer, and you want to insert the rivet
from the ID side of the weight..

does it make a huge difference which way you install a rivet?

I dont know if it does or not, but on the larger 17.2 (4.5) rivets and other longer rivets, I always install them going the same direction whenn I mushroom them with the hammer. Better safe then sorry.

Well I put mine in backwards but all in the same direction without realizing it and didnt think it would matter much.... just looking for reassurance I guess

Alright good! The clutch runs smooth and doesnt vibrate or anything so we'll see if I can blow it up or something lol.blkmax600 said:I don't think it will make a difference.

Seems like I remember Turk saying last year that it does'nt matter and he would know as he has done more clutch work than most of us combined.
