Hey guys does anyone have any idea why when you let off the throttle the back end fish tails. My 1999 srx started to do it at the end of last season, and my buddies Rev yesterday i noticed it was doing the same thing. We installed a new 1 inch hacksaw with 144 studs down the center, it seems to track ok when your on the throttle but once you let off at say 60 mph the back ends starts to go back and forth. Any ideas?
Thanks guys.

Whats the tension like on the secondary? If its too tight or stiff, it will cause alot of engine braking.. making it stop at alot faster rate than the motor is spinning.

Thats a good point Tom i'm going to test that on the Rev tonight. I know mine the tension was set right, I would change mine back and forth depending if i was radaring or trail riding. Any other ideas or things to try.

It sounds like when your letting off the throttle your track is slowing down
way to fast and and dragging(sliding) like your applying the break some.
check your track defection and or secondary like tom said

A too shallow helix and along with high tension on the spring will aslo cause this since it will want to back shift too quick.
Brake stuck or parcially stuck??? check the temperature of the rotor. look for heat stress.
Also,
Mrviper told me a story about a nitwit that had his chain tension way way too tight and would stop the sled almost immediately when he let off the gas!!!!!!!
