when the hood is off it raps up really fast... i have a gutted airbox and all new foam filters..... but when i put the hood on you can tell it bogs a little ... just not as fast as with the hood off..... do i need to cut my hood opening bigger?

it should be the same air the hood has a whole right about the filter.... so should i cut it bigger.... as big as i can right behind the pre filter?

Cold fresh air will work better than intake air that includes some from under the hood. You can increase the hole size but it likely won't change much. You need to seal the intake from the inside air. I've done a few and they are painfully difficult to get right. Foam strips works as well as anything. Hope this helps you.

Bigger hole means less restriction and mor cool air flow. Imo. T
