I've had this Phazer II for since 2002 and has been very dependable, the ignition system just quit (no spark), all the simple/obvious things have been checked, does anyone know of the most common component in the system to fail? I have checked the wiring harness for rub throughs and loose or corroded connections, looks good. Can anyone offer any tips on where to start looking?
Thanks Dave

take the handle bare cover off and unplug the kill switch, that was the problem I had.

I tried disconnecting all the wiring harness plugs (including the kill switch) under the steering column covers 1 plug at a time and still no spark. Ignition switch was checked with a fluke meter.
The CDI has not been checked, can the CDI, Crank trigger and the coil be checked with a fluke meter? or only by yamaha dealer special equipment?
Thanks
