Can anyone tell me what temperature a srx runs at ?? I have some wiring that I have just fixed that goes to the speedo and the oil indicator light is working and the temp light works 3 times at startup. But I am trying to see if the overheating light will work? I ran the sled and used a meat thermometer (wife doesn't know)LOL!!! It got up to 170 degrees but I don't feel like burning her down. What temp should the overheating light come on at???

To test the light just jump the plug with a pice of wire.

for what it's worth book says when testing the senser don't exceed
248 deg. water to dip it in. but it don't run that hot, i'd say under 200
but hopfully somone jumps in for ya

if you need the ohm's ask.

an srx runs at 140 degrees or so on the snow, the thermostat opens fully @142 degrees

I found in the tech section the temp light sequences for a 2000 srx and it says that the light will start flashing at 212 degrees. So, Does anyone have a service manual for a 99 srx 600, if so can you look up what the temp light sequence code (warning light codes) says for when the temp light starts flashing?????

Any help would be great!!!!
