I know that this may be a crazy question but, I remember back in the day when i was skiing a lot, we use to spray silicone on the bottom of our skis to help with speed. Has anyone ever tried this on your snowmobile skis to get a slicker slide? just wonderin....LOL

theo bottoms of ski's get really tore up especially the plastic ones! Silicone will actually help with the drag coefficient and your sled will be faster.... How much faster,,,, well,,,,at higher speeds, it makes less of a difference than at low speeds,,but,,, the silicone would just wear off right away and it would be a waste of money!!! I just bought a case of YAMAHA SILICONE and I use a spray nozzle from a can of GUMOUT because it would take ALL DAY to get the silicone out of the can with their spray nozzle,,,but,,, IT SMELLS LIKE URINAL CAKES in my garage now after spraying the silicone spray.. NEEDLESS to say,, I WILL NOT be spending 100.00 for a case of YAMAHA silicone ever again!!!!!! I do not know WHO supplies YAMAHA with their spray silicone but COME ON GUYS,,,,, URINAL CAKES??????? couldn't you get a better smell than that??????? Gary Oles nosboy
