i finally got to ride my beast(srx mtn) 141 x2..what an amzing ride compared to my 1998 srx with almost no suspension. so anyways with 3 feet of snow in the mountains me and my brother in law couldent resist to drive a short 3 hours to teast our sleds.
all i have to say is im really going to have to get used to my sled oh and the whole mountain riding aspect of having to put your weight to each ride while using the power bar and especially standing up while riding. i really sucked on my first ride but it should get better i hope,110 kms done and were expecting more snow soon :
next ride= mont valin with the crew and 4-5 feet of snow yesssssss
heres some pics
p:S we rode with a rev xp 800 and man was he on fire ripping up the trails i was so embarrased but we shall see who has the last laugh when he has to re-do his engine at 2000kms lol
the ride there
mr xp
the snow..further we went the more there was

The new XP's sure are light, but maybe too light....time will tell. Pulled this post off a thread on Hardcore. Not the best 1st ride report;
Thanks guys for the info. Managed to find 75 miles of road riding with solid cover, albeit 6-10 inches. It worked to start the XP breakin. Another post indicates that others found 20-30 inches not far away.
Summit 146X's were rocket ships, even if not broken in. Bad part is that when going through the last washout, merely one quarter mile from truck I trashed my front end. Idling through, burped throttle to lift front up over the trough, one ski caught and deep lug track showed no forgiveness. On pulling it out of the hole, I found the ski that caught had pushed back that lower ball joint almost an inch! More interesting the other side was pushed froward the same amount. This suggests that either the delta truss attachment torqued, or more likely, the bulkhead distorted allowing the delta to rotate. Having riden IQ chassis for the last 3 years, I was ammazed to see NO apparant damage to any of the A-frames, despite their length. But I sure would have preferred to replace an A-frame than have the whole front torn apart to find the destortion deep within.
So, while the new XP's may survive a pinecone, it look like they may not survive a snowcone!

Ya see being the lightest out there ain't all it's cracked up to be,hell the
same scenario on an old TSS or even a P/A vmax would have came out laughing.
i'd rather have a little mo weight for strength any day. lol!!!
thats funny...
