I have a 98 MM that I just got PI end dumps for. PI says I need a Y-SL-Y primary spring with two spacers (short cap). I went to the dealer to get the parts and they don't know where to look on the fiche for the spacers. I looked around on yamaha-motor.com as well and couldn't find them. Anyone know a P/N or where to look? Are they even necessary? Just adds a little to engagement right?
Thanks!!

You need 2 engagement shims. Someone on here must have some real cheap .I don,t know the part # or if they are available from a dealer..All they do is raise your engagement.

Engagement Shims
I have a set right here in front of me.....not to tease you, but I got mine from my dealer and if my dealer knew what I was talking about yours should. If they still don't you can get them in the aftermarket world no problem.

Go to thunderproducts.com or phone same @ 320-597-2700
part number gw-300 $14.95 clutch spring glide washers
they work very well, smooths out your clutch and helps keep it from binding.
Each washer you add raises your engagement rpm about 50. Great for fine tunning your clutch. comes with 5 washers. Two of the washers are coated to make them very slippery to keep the clutch from binding up.
