Can the silencer boring mod be done on the 600 twin? The sled is a 1998 600 Vmax sx.

No. It's only for triples without power valves.

I hacked off the bottem silencer, and kept the top one on, and ran an 2 1/4" pipe down and out. It sounds good, but not to loud. Just has a bit more crackle.
I still think it is quiter than a piped viper for sure.

By what I have been told the silencer mod does nothing for the 600 twin. That mod is for the tripple red heads.

Thanks guys, Im just looking for a little more noise, Baldie did this have any other effect on your sled other then a bit louder? Is your sled a 600 twin?

since the 600 triple did not come out until 99, yes, the 99 MM 600 is a twin.
FWIW, the 97 venture we have now is basically the same as a MM600, but witha 2 up seat and lower lugs, it even has the same smart carb setup.
