Viper Fuel Pump Question

if you are planning on plugging that hole up with silicone, you might want to think again. If your viper doesn't have triple pipes, and still has the stock exhaust w/no engine mods you can probably get away with it, but if your sled has triple pipes, you will probably find yourself in hot water. mrviper700 and a few others told me to get that silicone out of my fuel pump. My sled has hauck triple husher pipes. They said that when the vent hole on the fuel pump is pluged, the vaccum/pressure that builds up behind the diaphram in the fuel pump, can't escape and then it can reduce the fuel flow, which would lean your sled out and lead to a burn down. There is a topic on hear in the srx/viper forum, that talks about this issue. I'll try to find the link and post it here.

here it is: http://www.totallyamaha.net/forums/showthread.php?t=41768

Exactly mopar, that is why I'm asking. I want to make sure it's NOT plugged before I add my pipes.

Thanks for confirming the location guys!

when I installed my pipes I just blocked the pump up off the tunnel (with 1/4 nuts?)
been running the pipes etc for several years with no problems! Even riding in DEEP mountain snow, just got that damm bog
