to late for synthetic?

Oh man not another oil thread!!!! J/K

NO!!!!! you'll be just fine, but you may want to re-ring soon!!!

The damage has already been done running yamaslug for 3500 miles.

so using a syn now will make little differance(the critical wear has already
happend)

no... you should be good...I waited till my tank was near empty...than just put in your new oil...after a few tanks of gas...I pulled the plugs read them & I replace with new ones...your good to go

Use yamahalube just for the break in period which isnt very long at all. Tank of gas or less at the most. Then just fill it up with amsoil interceptor. I wouldnt even put off changing the rings. I would do it immediately, suck most of the yamalube out and fill it with amsoil.

so would i be better off using yammilube till i replace the riings
IMO....yes, like i said most the critical wear is already happend :( and you'll
need rings soon 4,000 miles, so save your $ for the rings instead of the better oil..

but AFTER the fresh 'en up syn. all the way after break in...

I have ran all of the syenthetic out there almost. LOL Klotz worked the best and smell the best. Amsoil smoked the least, but didn't keep the valves as clean. Ipone was real close to klotz for cleanliness of valves, and smelled good, but liked the klotz better. Penzoil was pure junk, and blue marble smoked something terrible, even after the sled was warmed up. So there you have it, pick one except penzoil, and start using it. Maxdlx
