Anyone, what are the differences between a standard 2003 sx viper and an sx viper er ?

Other than the addition of an Electric Start and Reverse...I heard performance
is a slight bit...drop 1-3 mph off the ER...I'm sure thats due to the battery and
the revers gear shift linkage...

The first year Viper (2002) had harsh shocks from the factory. So much so that Yamaha offered a $189 shock upgrade that replaced all 4 shocks.
The 2003 ER had the revised (softer) shock package.
The 2003 non-ER only had softer front shocks, the rears are the same harsh 2002 variety. My guess is the factory had a bunch of harsh rear skid shocks lying around and didn't want to throw them out.
