i got this cocky little guy on a 04 rev 440x that thinks that he will beat my piped, ported viper in 660'. he is even so cocky as to say he will run me on pump gas. i mean seriously is he completely off his rocker, i know the little 440's are quick but im sure i must have 30-40 hp on him. i watched a 440x trail convert race a phazer 4 stroke and the phazer was able to stick with him the whole 660' actually was able to win 1 of the 3. so is it him or me that needs to get our head checked? :o|

Even a stock viper will take the 440 any day in 660'

the 440, since its a twin might pull on you down low, but in 660' you should be way ahead of him.

with all the mods you have it shouldn't even be close.

best bet is line 'em up and see who wins. That usually works.

I would say you would win, but I've got a buddy back home with a 440 Rev, that is smoking quick. I've seen him wax stock f7's no problem (mostly because of traction off the line). I've learned never to underestimate smaller sleds.

Not a chance that 440 will win. NO WAY!!! if it really is a 440. The revs aren't known to be fast either....they do ride nice though.

Some people just don't have a clue.
A couple of years ago my cousin brought a friend of his riding with us. He was on a xcr 600 or something like that. He bragged and bragged that sled up, and I finally couldn't stand it when he said he could wax my uncles '02 Viper short track with Bender triples and clutch kit.

They ran three different times. My uncle even told him that he wouldn't hit the throttle until he saw the other guy taking off. We all know how much of an edge that gives you taking off. Anyway, my uncle smoked him so bad I can't even give you a decent guess on how many sled lengths he beat him by.

Personally its gonna depend on conditions loose snow, dont be suprised if he walks ya in 660, lower gearing, taller lug track means looks of traction in the loose and off the line

A lake or hard pack, id say the vipers gonna walk him hard.... it really depends on conditions.

My vote is the viper however

the viper got a 2" finger track. 136" so it should take 440 from the start. he actually smartened up a bit and admitted that he cant beat me. i think i might still hold him to the race to teach him a lesson.
