just tighten the track a little at a time untill it stops ratcheting, if you
don't have a scale to use.

What type of snow is it ratcheting on, hard pack or powder? Powder loads it the hardest, so if it's ratcheting on packed snow I would start with about two turns per side and then go only one per side after that as needed. Once it doesn't ratchet on the trail, then make sure to test it in powder. Hit a soft bank or drift and then nail it. Be careful doing this, don't want to grind up your drivers. If it doesn't ratchet, then I like to start going back down half a turn at a time until I get it to ratchet once or twice. Then I go back up a half a turn each side and call it good. Kind of a PIA, but I like to have it as loose as it can possibly get. Guess I'm kind of crazy, but I can't stand the thought of losing 1/2 a hp because my track's to tight, lol.

It ratchets in the soft stuff no groomed trails yet.
