i tried searching, the previous owner of my sled changed the cables and did everything wrong lol, one valve was upside down, in the servo, it clearly says where cable 1-2-3 go, 1 and 3 where mixed up, now my question, i cant see the part numbers on the cables anymore and i know one should be longer than the 2 others, but they all pretty mutch look to be the same, im trying to find a picture to see witch cable goes in what slot in the servo ( i mean in the 2 slots looking foward and aft) not the 3 slots looking left and right, thats easy to figure out. thanks guys!

Go to the the t.y. home at the top left, at that sreen, on the left, scroll down to online parts...If your sled is sxr700F 2001, then this is what I found for you...
# 29 x 2 8df-1133E-10-00, same lenght & p.t.o. center.
# 30 x 1 8df-1133f-10-00, mag.
have look at the pic, under cylinder head...this how I reference most of my work...cheers

did that already lol still doesent answer my question, i want to see a pic of them mounted on the servo! thanks anyways!

and if you need an overview of which goes where, try this one.

Not sure why any of this matters though. Mag is furthest away, so it uses the longest cable. Which goes where on the other end shouldn't matter. They all get pulled exactly the same amount, so it doesn't matter which spot you screw them into. To keep it clean, run mag to bottom, center to center, and pto to top.

no:1-cable is the top cable in the servo and goes the the mag cyl.(longer of the two)

no:2-cable goes in the next hole down in the servo from the top, goes to
the middle cyl.

no:3-cable is the very bottom one in the servo and that one goes to the PTO cyl.

now as far as the cable holders it goes 3-on the botton,2-next (middle),1-
on top.

as as far as the grooves in the pully on the servo motor thats,1-closes to the servo motor,3-middle,2-out side.

Two Questions...
Where do you use the marker to mark the position of the cables? There's a good pic of the servo in this link, but not sure where to mark it if I attemp to do an adjustment.
Can I just clean them using the info in the TY Tech page and not adjust them? (not having taken the cables off the servo)

Pretty much any place you want as long as you mark the servo pully then
the base, in line with each other.

look here;

you can just clean them but that's like changing your oil and not the filter,your only doing half the job,who know's when or if they ever been
adj., it should be done all at one time, your right there. :)

lol that was funny! thanks everyone! on another note i dont get how i've read that some guys say that by adjusting the valves flush with the port, theyre machine didnt feel right, they the readjusted witht the 2.5mm method and felt a considerable difference, well my exhaust is off, and i did the adjustments witht the 2.5mm method and they are almost perfectly flush, just a little less open than flush, may the guys that said that adjusted them alittle more open than flush, witch is a bad idea because thats an easy way to pull your valves but also because of the wall it creates in the port, maybe that wall had a big effect on performance?

yea that was good.....

@turbor,

using yamaha's way leaves a little slack in the pv cable so when it opens it
there's a little lee way in the cable as not to be pulling overly tight..and
stressing the cable and pv end more then whats necessary.
