Finally enough snow to get on the Viper for a short while. WOW! I just took it out in the alley for a couple passes. First time out on fresh rings so I was just running the throttle up and down. Stabbed it a couple times to get a feel for the pilots.
So I thought it felt a little flat off idle. I have the 55 pilots in it with 1 7/8s on the screws. After it warmed up I ran it at 1/8 throttle about 150 yards (as far as I can right now). Is that even far enough to try and read plugs? I assume no. I thought my M and C plug looked good. My P plug looked wet. When I pulled it I got smoke out of the P cylinder also. I have a light ring of oil around the mating surface for the plugs.
Where should I order a cylinder light? I have looked around some but no joy.
I figure a couple more weeks before I an get it out and really try to tune anything. My clutch is also engaging at 4900, thought that was a bit high. But oh man when it grabs it really grabs.
