Sled Finally back together, but having a slight overrev issue

you can put it in any hole and if you only move the helix to the first set of holes instead of winding the ramps to the next set of buttons it will be too loose, looks like you have the helix/spring not installed right to me. Reset to 3 in the clutch, and 3 on the helix, then twist the helix clockwise and align up the ramps to the buttons this will be turning the helix a full 60 degrees.

Thanks Mr Viper, thats what the issue was, Rookie mistake with clutches, but hey, learnt something knew today :bump:

Take the thinest washer out..try that.

I'll give that a go tomorrow, I'm done for the night...Plus we are suppose to get a good dumping of snow tonight, so I'll have some nice powder to test in :letitsnow

to have good belt deflection the track SHOULD creep(rotate or jerk slightly) at idle, if its up on a track stand thats a good thing. You will know its too tight when it squeels like a pig when you come to a stop after riding it, then you just back it off a thin washer, tighter belt deflection helps the sled perform better, not too tight but snug I should say.

It was up, I will try it out tomorrow then off the stand and see if it moves at all at idle like that.

if it just barely moves or slightly jerks thats perfect, it wont make the sled move anywhere once down off the stand on the ground.

It doesn't move the sled, but I did hear some belt squeel, but that was only after a rode it for 5-10 min, and then stopped, it squeeled for a few seconds and went away. It also squeels a little at low speeds around 4-6000 rpm.

I think thats fine, will this clear up after a few rides or should I remove the thinest shim?

I would remove the thinnest shim.....that squeal would drive me crazy not to mention causes heat/premature wear in your primary sheev and belt.
