Hey Turk, or everyone else, lol.
I was wondering if you can hook me up with a trick cluthcig setup for the srx. All the mods are in my sig. Tell me what you need to know, and I would appreciate it if you could hook me up

40/10 heelclickers with a helix close to a 52/42 & a green yammie secondary spring. Start with 4 grams heel; 5 grams tip & fine tune from there.
you DA MAN!!!!!! If i get to it this season i will be sure to let you know how everything goes.
Thanks, Nik
Thanks, Nik
TURK another q. What rap? and please tell me how those numbers (52/42) affect what i am doing. Like does the 52 or 42 mean top speed, or what.

The best possible combo i ever ran was 40/10 heelclickers with a helix about a 50/40. HC red primary spring, 4-5 grams in heel & tip & green yammie secondary spring at 70-80 wrap.
I found this on HCS, by TURK. Whats so great about this combo compared to the one you gave me above? I like top speed. This sled sees lots of racing on the lake.
Thanks, Nik

Your sled is modded; it makes more hp.It can handle more aggressive clutching. As for explaining helix angles, etc, buy Aaens clutching handbook & read every page (even the non yamaha stuff) 20 times.
Oh ok, i knew you were going to say that, lol. But anyways, what rap should i start at for the green secondary?

Turk, I was thinking of starting off a little more mild. I have heard of people just not being able to fine tune the heel clickers. And I am no geneous when it comes to clucthing. Actually, I have never even opened a clutch before!
So In a week or two I will be bringing my baby into the shop. I have a trailing arm to changed, and some clutch work to do.
I will try this setup (If you agree):
8dn-20's
Loaded with 4.5's
wh/wh/wh primary
Green secondary
Wrapped at 60-80, I think I will probably settle with 70!
51/43 helix
How do you think this looks?

I like to use a steeper helix then that personally.
What would you recommend then? I am all ears. I will be picking up an AAEN clutching book as soon as i head to royal distributing. Probably in a few weeks. But I will be sure to read it completely!
