Hey guys I bought an srx in the spring and just got to try it today the sled is sluggish. I ripped the carbs appart and here is the jetting its got 148.8 on two of the carbs and 150 on the other. Now I was looking in the manual and it says its 146.3 on two of them and 147.5 on the other one and my pilot I got on now is a 40 on each and the manual says 42.5. My sled is bone stock. I was wondering if anyone knows what there stock jetting was?

you have the correct jetting for a 2001 srx its 40 pilot jets, and 148.8,148.8,150 for the pto cylinder. The other jetting your referring to is the 2000 srx or 2002 srx jetting and there was problems with the 2000 burning pistons in cold weather, the only reason the 2002 could use this was from the addtion of the dcs or detonation control system. leave the jetting alone, fix the clutching, they were docile stock, theres tons and tons of clutching information here for that sled.

check clean and adjust your power valves too, never know when they've been done..could have one or more pulled..not saying this is your problem but an area that needs service, and will hamper performance if not up to par..

Ok guys. So I have a 200 SRX, can I just change the jetting to what the 2001 is at and be OK? Or are there other changes to be made as well? Mine is pretty well stock with the only mods to the suspension and track so far.

yes, you can just install the main jets as per the service bulletin yamaha put out.
Hey thanks for the info. I took it out for the first time last night. I love it.

Keep in mind this jet change is not going to fix your "sluggish" problem. I'd clean the carbs and adjust power valves like mentioned. If you still have problems post back with a description of what exactly you mean by sluggish. Could be a number of things, but cleaning the carbs and adjusting the PV's should be done anyway. (So you are not wasting your time)
