Can I run a 02 SRX headlight on a 98 stock SRX

I plan on switching my 98 SRX 600 hood to a 02 SRX 700 hood, because I like the graphics and headlight better is this OK to do? I'm just wondering if my electrical system can run this?

ya, if you use only 1 of the bulbs. The stock 175watt stator wont be able to keep up to (2) 55/60 watt bulbs, when you hit the brakes all the lights will go very dim, and I am sure within no time the stator will retire from overloading it. The new dual bulb sleds use a 300 watt stator.

I believe the hoods are the same from 98-02. Yamaha designed the duel headlight around the existing hood.

Yes but the decals on the 02 look much better than the 98. I didn't want to go with after market decals because I like the look of OEM.
