Hey guys.
With all the XP800's out on the trails this winter, was curious if people think an SRX can be competive on top end with an XP800 despite 8-10hp and 120+lb disadvantage.
I certainly wont be lining up against any XP short of a 50+mph rolling start. : )

Would be much much cheaper to get your motor ported and heads cut. All set-up still for pump gas.
I for sure am not aftraid of one of those sleds. That weight dis-advantage sounds pretty high.

Don't worry, the XP will only fall more apart the faster it goes.

I HAVE RACED TWO XP 800 R ON GRASS IN 500 F.T. AT OUTLAW EVENTS !! I RACED ONE FOUR TIMES. 3 TIMES WITH MY 00 SRX AND ONCE WITH MY VMAX 800. HE BEAT MY SRX ONCE OUT OF THREE RUNS AND I ACTUALLY BEAT HIM PRETTY BAD THE OTHER TWO. MY VMAX 800 WON THE OTHER TIME PRETTY EASY. THESE SLEDS OF CORSE ARE BRAND NEW SO I DON,T KNOW WHAT WAS DONE TO THEM AS FARR AS SET-UP. 3:16 (yammie tony)

We had a chance to line up against a couple new XP's last weekend on the ice.. Run was around 2000-2500 ft. Our sled is a 700Sx with CPR pipes, boost bottle, airbox mod and head gasket mod. We had no problem with the xp in this length of run, that being said these are new sleds and probably have alot of tuning still to be done on them..

YAMMIMAN YES, !! HEEL CLICKERS IN MY 00 SRX AND 8BU SET-UP IN MY 2002. I WILL ADD AFEW NOTES. FIRST I HEARD THIS SLED HAS ALREADY RUN 5.28 ON GRASS. I ALSO HEARD SKIDOO IS GONNA PULL A BONER MID YEAR. THAT PROBLEY MEANS 1000 TWIN IN THAT R CHASSIS. TELL YA SLED I THOUGHT WAS AWFUL WE HAD A CHANCE TO RACE A NEW F-8 CAT. NOT TOO OFTEN YOU SEE A SLOW CAT, THAT THINK WAS A POOCH. THEY SHURE ARE NOT A F-7. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Dan, mud lake gives you 3000-3500 feet before you have to start to shut down. The lake is nearly 5000' long.
