what can i say im bored, got a foot of snow last night. went for a spin in trails only to have a huge fallen tree blocking trail with only a couple miles on trail. rumors are that yamaha is gonna drop a knew model for 09 and some are saying that the apex isnt going to be there flagship model. now this is purely to start spectulating, like i said im bored. how many people would like to see the srx come back as a four stroke ( since yamaha has clearly stated there going 4 stroke exclusivly). i d love to see it come back with some trates that the srx has. it has to be blue of course,a four stroke tripple with a suppercharger,a bulge on hood on throtlle side for a intercooler. one inch track for maximum speed. rear suspension travel at 10 inch maximum everything in sled has to be kept low for awsome handling and blistering top speeds. maybe ski-doo heard of an srx come back and drop the mach z this year so it wouldn t look so bad. anyone welcome to speculate

I think they should do it, and keep it as a lake racer like the old SRX.

Had I known that 1) you can install reverse on an srx, and 2) you can make the SRX long travel easily, I would have probably bought in spring of 99 a 2000 srx700 instead of my 2000 xc600sp.

There is a nice blue belly panned srx 700 for sale down the road from me, and had I had more $$ I would buy it. It's IMHO, the best looking sled made, until they came out with the Apex.

what is funny to me about this is that the Apex, would not be the top sled anymore if this were to come to fruition. LOL it's simply the defiition of Apex and it not being the top model

A 1" track for maximum speed?

sure.

the taller the lugs, the more the track weighs, and the more wind resistance it has

both of those factors take more HP to turn.
