As you know I sold the SRX and in the market to replace it with something that has even more power and at least the same as my SRX but with better suspesion. I do not want to do the M10 upgrade as it would defeat the speed factor.
So the question is if you had $4k to spend and was looking for a sled with 2K miles or under from years 2003-2004 or 2005 what would it be? Keeping in mind I want at min the same accel I got from the SRX but better in the bumps.
I have been tossing around the F7 or ZR 900 thing but want more suggestions
Thanks

I like my Pro-X. The chassis and suspension are the best things about these sleds. They gotta be clutched, jetted and have torque/push arms to perform though. After that they're like a whole new animal. Hard to compare since it's a longtrack vs. a SRX with studs but it feels just as fast as my SRX was to 50 or 60 MPH. After 80 MPH the SRX would kill it I think, even if my Pro-X was still a short track.
I rode an M7 a few times(same motor as F7) and was not impressed with the low end torque. It felt too "zingy". Like the motor REV's up but it's not really pulling that hard. Only god knows what the thing had for clutching in it though.
just my .02

a piped viper??? RX-1 with a few mods??? Pretty hard to beat an SRX, strange since it hasn't been made for 5 years!!!!! I did own a 700 polaris and it was very good to me, 1999 twin xc. In all honesty it rode worse than the srx and I had the shocks rebuilt......it had the extra 10.

I would say a MXZ 800 Rev. My buddy has a Renegade 800 and its a race a peice between him and my 03 viper, both stock. I would imagine that a 800 Rev with a shorter track will pull like an SRX when setup right and no doubt the suspension is better, especially if you go with an X package

I love my SRX a little harder to work on than the twin polaris but so much smoother and faster on top. I am putting pioneer shocks in and I added reverse.

I say buy a nice XC and build it up. Start with a 800 and just tweak it. or get a 700 big block xc and throw a big bore on it.
even though my xcsp is only a 600, I walk past every other 700 twin I have come across. I even walked an F7 last winter, and destroyed the F6 that was riding with him.
Those polaris' really can make some nice power, and ride nicely as well.
how abut an xcr800 triple?

I have owned XC 700, XCR 700 and XCR 800. They where all great sleds.. My buddy still has my 98 XC 700 with 7,000 miles and still runs strong.

hmm, then how about a used but good rx1.
I have seen a few for 4k or so.
I don't know if an rx1 can hang with a SRX, but I would hope so.
