can some of you guys let me know your top end speed on an vmax xtc 600 1998 bone stock?????
mine would show 103-105 on the speedo before I touched it.With just clutching 109mph.
Thin head gasket,,carbon tech reeds,and clutching 113mph.

Ive had mine @ 90-100 a few times, felt like it had little more, 100% stock.

Last year most we seen was about 120 (75Mph) I am hoping to try it out again this year with new belt, and clutch springs, and new track, hoping to hit 140-145 (90mph) ish

Your only getting 75mph?????? wow....my PZ on hard pack will get close to that...

well I have to test again, and I didn't have a speedo, I was going off my buddie's...but we where going around the same speed, I was following him, he said only about 120 ish, maybe 125 max.
could have been alot of things, tired sled, and clutch springs, old belt, track was pretty beat up....also was a warmer day, so not real cold and solid hard pack.
I will be getting my speedo cable tomorrow I think, so I will take it out for a spin on the back road and top it out and see. I've already done quite abit to it this year, so I hope for better results.

well I was just out testing after putting on the new speedo cable, and for sure I can hit 125-130 km (80mph) pretty easy, and still had throttle left, I couldn't really hold it right out, as the visability isn't great, with snow coming down and at night and there are alot of deer around on that back road, maybe tomorrow I can test for all out, but I can see hitting 90 miles pretty easy, not sure about 100, but 90's anyways

this is good news.
I have yet to get the 97 600 venture up to top speed. I have had it to about 70mph, but I ran out of field, and I was dumb and did not have my helmet. I froze my a$$ off, but it was the first time I rode the sled, and I was happy it would go faster than the rental 550 fan skidoos we had rented in the past. those would do like 65 tops...and it took forevvvveeerrr to hit that.
