started my long travel project and need to know for sure on the transfer rods. The Benders I have were put on when the sled was brand new "98 srx", guys from PP said they will limit the travel and to use the oem ones with the smaller spacer.

Somone posted they called bender and they say you can use them???

Any and all info would be VERY help full!

Thanks....

Called bender and got the skinny.
All you have to do is on these trans rods is use the thinner viper spacer on the bottom of the rod that goes thru the adjuster, in lieu of the thicker oem that you would have originally used during installation.

Will then only limit travel by 1/16 do to the nominal thickness of the metal washer used by Bender. 1/16 of loss, I can live with that..lol

hope this helps any one else....

forgot to add...the stock setting then changes from "3 1/2" to now "4" for the 98 srx700

Excellent!! Thanks DarkAngel!!! To get stock settings I just held the Viper's stock control rod up next to the Bender and adjusted the Bender so it was the same length as the Viper's but it's really great to know all is well!!! Thanks again for posting the info!! ;)!

Do your rods mount further back, in behind the rear wheel? and if so, what setting did it end up being?

Just saw the year of your sled and got the answer ;):D lol

why not just use the hauck atr nuts that are designed for the viper rear skid

The Benders have been on the skid since I originally bought the sled. Cost me a $1.00 for the plastic washers to upgrade the Benders ;)! I like the $avings over the Hauck atr nuts!
