Any possible way to get my hands on a service manual within the next couple of hours? I need to work on stator and voltage regulator.

Best thing you could do now is start pulling off the pipes, starter re-coil,screws that hold on the grab plate for the recoil and get a socket to take the big bolt off that holds the stator. I did it last season no big deal just remember where things go take pics if your not sure. Its easy to do you'll need a puller also. Oh and just before the stator is about to come off it will release with a big bang. Don't freak, you'll think you broke something.LOL

Last season it just died on me. Like I hit the kill switch while riding it.
I was having other issues that I described to a mechanic. He thought it was that stator and voltage regulator so I ordered them and they should be in today. Plan on picking them up and try to get the ol' gem running tonight.
I know, I know......I had all summer to do this!!!

You can just use the Yamaha website for service manuals. You just can't print them.

Go on ebay and do a search for your service manual. There is a guy on there (i forget his name right now) that has service manuals that you download. They are Buy it Now, so you just paypal him the money and he sends you a link with a password to get the service manual that you can download. It is really easy and I've done it a couple times. Only takes a few minutes to get the link after you buy it. That should help.

And if he doesn't have the one that you need already posted, shoot him an email and ask him to put one up and he will gladly do it. He was great to deal with when I've bought from him before, and has access to almost all manuals.

Service manual
I can e-mail you a copy if you want (30,000KB). You just won't be able to print it. I use my laptop in the garage to work on my sled, works pretty slick. PM me your e-mail address if ya want it sent.
