Okay, The 03 Viper I just picked up this fall had the TORS bypassed (only 1400 miles??). Just did a continuity check on the switch and it is wide open no matter what position it is in. It's toast.
I have a couple spare carb racks ( on their way to me) and would like to swap the switch if possible. Question: How do you remove the TORS switch off of the carb? And how do you put a replacement back on?
I didn't want to wreck something if there is a special trick or method.
Anyone?
Thanks

Thanks

viper tors switch
Turn the idle screw clockwise, like you are trying to raise the idle speed, the switch will thread itself off. I placed a rag under the switch to catch anything that could fall out. I was able to repair my switch by taking it apart and cleaning the contacts. Johnnyc.
