Had to remove rear axle and wheels so I could repair one wheel that the rubber came off.Got that already fixed up,but because of the tension of the track, can't start to re-install wheels and axle. What needs to be down to the suspension on the SRX so I can get more slack on the track and slide axle in straight and easy along with the wheels and spacers?Looks like I am in a bind here.Don't want to remove the skid just to put rear components back on.No riding for me now since this is all apart.

I've done it like three times recently on a Viper. All I had to do was loosen the track as much as possible and slide the axle in as I fed the parts in by hand. Helps to have another set of hands around.

Pop the skid out - 6 bolt - you can have it out in under 5 minutes. Makes it a lot easier IMO.

How about just removing the back 4 bolts and colapse the rear to get pressure off the track.

its verry easy, loosen the track, lift the back just anough so it sits like it would with the wheels in place. set the wheels and spacers, washers in place and wiggle the shaft in. you should be able to do it. Ive doen it in a foot of snow.
It may be easyier to tip the sled on its side. and use a lond screwdirver from the othere side to hold the wheel sand spacers from falling.
good luck

Id have to agree with ya. its a 100 times easier working on it without it under the sled and the time it takes. Ill do it this way everytime as long as I have an extra hand for re-installment.

actually it was easy .All I did was took out the 4 bolts from the skid and let the big shock and upper wheels drop down into skid. Now the pressure was off and glided everything in easy.Took it for a run and still everything looks good.
I put my FRA into middle position and man it changes everything everything now in the dynamics and the transfer rods. Before when I sat on the sled the space was 50/50 on the washers on transfer rods.NOW when I sit on it,no space on top and all in the bottom spacers. When I ride it now ,it really pulls the ski's off.I opened up the Max Perf rods to the second last line on the adjusters.Guess I am getting more coupling effect going on,like instant. And with the fuel screw turned to 1 3/4 turns out now, engine idle comes down on it's own.
