O.k guys here it is. I tore the carbs down for the 3rd time ! Cleaned them very well. Removed main jets , pilot jets and fuel screws. I sprayed everything out with carb cleaner. I cleaned out the mains and pilots. Now i did not remove the air screws. Could this be a problem? #$%&* Can see light through them. Fuel screw is 1 and 1/2 turns out. mains are 150 , 147.5 , 148.5...pilots are 42.5. Does that tors thing have anything to do with a bog? Does it need to be reset if i unplugged it to remove the carbs? I'm pulling my freakin hair out here ! Need help before i decide to go back to a ski- doo !! lol JK !!

Where does it bog? Low end, Mid-range, or topend?

The bog is from idle or anywhere under engagement. If i choke it quick, it revs fine. Not sure where it can be lean at? Should i go to 2 turns on my fuel screws? It really sucks that you have to take these carbs off to make any kind of adjustment !Does that TORS switch cause any symptoms like this ? Just wondering if i should try unplugging it?

It sounds to me like you either have an air leak somewhere or your pilots/jet needle clips aren't right. I had the exact same problem on my 94 arctic cat. I went up 4 sizes over what is recommended on pilot just to get it to idle and it was still boggy from there up to 4000rpm. It still wanted to die and I had to give it a little choke just for a second to keep it running. My air leak ended up being the throttle slides in the carbs where so worn out that they were leaking air around them. Check for air leaks-intake boots, crank seals, maybe even throttle slides. That's what caused my bog.

Looks like back to a mach z it might be !! Anyone want a MINT 2000 SRX with a bog ? 3400 miles , v-force reeds , bender can , bender roller rooster secondary , hauck primary spring and kit , ripsaw track with 144 pics , 10" carbides.

will that cause it to go lean ???? My only problem experience with reeds were that it flooded the cylinder !

MAN YOU HAVE CLASSIS SYMTOMS OF CLOGED UP PILET JETS. ESPECIALLY WHEN YA FEATHER THE CHOKE IT WANTS FUEL. WHAT MAKES YA THING YOUR LEAN. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Well if it needs the choke to rev , wouldn't that indicate a lean condition. I can't stress enough , the carbs are SQUEEKY CLEAN. Daylight through the pilots , mains. Theses carbs are spotless ! I may try going to a larger pilot. That is the only thing i haven't done yet.

i have this same problem with my 02 viper.what is the fix.1 1/2 out on the fuel screws.should i go more? it's such a pain to adjust

:2strokes: Well here's the results !! With the 42.5 pilots i went to 2 full turns out. It was almost perfect but still a little bog. I put a new set of 45 pilots in it with the fuel screws at 1 1/2 turns. This thing sounds and reacts like a totallly different sled !! Obviously it was way too lean . Thanks for all the responses. NODOO ....try 2 1/2 turns if no better, get a set of 45 pilots and set the fuel screws to 1 1/2 !! Good luck.....2 strokes forever !!! lol :letitsnow
