Can anyone please tell me what type of track clip tool works best? We need it for my inch and a half track and smaller. My friend borrowed one last year that was a universal tool that fit 1 1/2" clips and 1" clips and it sucked. He has an older one that someone made that is the same type of tool as the one he borrowed but it's for the 1 1/2" clips. Are the plier type tools better than this type?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I have always used that type you have pictured. I have 2 of these tools one for the larger clips and one for the smaller new ones. We have used the plier type before and it sucked royally. IMO stick with that one you have pictured

Do you know if this is the one we need? It says 1 1/2” L x 1” W clips. Isn't that too big? The universal says it fits that size and 1"x1" but we don't want the universal tool.

it will work.track clips come in two sizes either 1" or 1 1/2" wide.so that tool does both.i sell them for $75 shipped if you need one.

Thanks for the reply Rich. But we don't want the tool that does both. Do you sell the tool that just does the smaller clips, like on these new Ripsaws? If so how much, we want to order one right away. The one he borrowed last year that did both just seemed harder to use and more cumbersome I guess than the other one.

Can you tell me who makes the one for just the 1" that's $155? My friend and his brother are the ones actually paying for it and they're gonna want to know more about it. I'm pretty sure they'll want it. Thanks.
