hi gang ,well 2nd time out tihs yr we finally got to the highgrounds,great snow great day till i started to get hot shut her down right away no harm there,but,
took off the cap and with motor running i notice no circulation in the cooling system,so io got towed home by nun the lees than an old tundra HAHA
anyhow i tjhink its the waterpump
what all is involved in chhanging the pump and is there anything else i may check or be aware of before i tear into this thing
also the coolant resevoir is full

is the sled studded my friends did this a stud went therw the front cooler

you should have water circulation, you may have a WP/gear problem..

My bet would be water pump impeller.

Is the belt driving the pump okay? Might not be as serious as pump failure. Maybe just a worn or lose belt.

Better hope you have a bad impeller, because if its the drive, the oil pump is on the other side of the case, running out of water is less costly than running out of oil. Pretty sure you are going to have to remove the engine to check this out. It sure would be easier to remove the pump cover, then you could see if the impeller is trashed or spinning freely on the shaft. Seems to me that this impeller is metal and held on by a bolt, but go online to find the microfische and it should give you a better idea. Good luck.
